Scribblebox is a little music box that lives on a doodled desk. Stamp notes onto a notebook page, line pages up on a film strip, and press play on the boombox. Everything wobbles while it plays.

  • The page: click to stamp a note, drag right to make it longer, drag a note to move it. Right click (or the scissors) snips it.
  • The timeline: that's your song. Click a frame to drop the page there, drag to paint it along. Drag blocks around, drag lane numbers to reorder.
  • The mixer: mute, solo and turn up any lane, plus a master volume.
  • The shelf: pick an instrument and the page plays it. Double click to tweak it.
  • The desk: boombox plays, snail undoes, worm sets note length, metronome sets tempo, paper plane exports.

  • Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y: undo / redo
  • Numpad + / -: longer / shorter notes
  • Space: play / stop
  • Arrow keys: nudge notes (Shift = octave)
  • Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V: copy / paste notes
  • Ctrl+D: copy the page

  • 150+ instruments: pianos, bells, strings, choirs, brass, 8-bit chip sounds, synths, drum kits and a few silly ones (yes, there's also a meow)
  • Export your song as WAV or MIDI
  • Open MIDI files and FL Studio projects (.flp)
  • Load your own .sf2 soundfonts

Your song saves itself in your browser
